Advisory lifted

The boil water advisory for Madison County has been lifted. Thanks to everyone who worked so diligently today to fix the water main break. Thanks also to all those in the district who worked to ensure our students and staff had safe water and food today. 

Youth Wrestling Team wins State Championship Group photo of the youth wrestling team that won the state championship.

Months of training and hard work paid off for the Madison County Youth Wrestling Club. The determination and sacrifice of each wreslter helped the team win it’s first state title at the Kentucky State Wrestling Association State Championship in Division III last weekend. Madison County scored 88 points to win the title, outpacing its nearest competitor by 3.5 points. Throughout the state, 59 teams were represented, with over 1100 wrestlers participating in the tournament.  Madison County sent 15 participants to the tournament, while 49 wrestled throughout the season. Five Madison County wrestlers reached the finals and two won state titles for the Madison County Youth wrestling club at the state tournament in Louisville on February 5. 

Madison Middle Students Invited to All State Choir

Congratulations to Autumn Woolums, Max McIntier, and Madi Christian who were among students across the state invited to participate in the All State Choir at the Kentucky Center for the Art.

District surplus auction

The district's surplus sale will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, February 24, at the Phillips Building on North Second Street in Richmond.
