Madison County Extension Service partners with farmers markets for Power of Produce

Join the Madison County Cooperative Extension Service this summer to learn about the Power of Produce. During each visit, kids ages 4 to 18 can try a "hello" bite and complete an activity to earn up to $4 in Farmers Market Money to be used at the market that day. 


Power of Produce schedule:

  • Harvest 859 Market, 1st Street in downtown Richmond:  Saturday, July 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Featured produce:  tomato
  • Madison County Farmers Market, Lowe's parking lot in Richmond:  Saturday, July 21 from 8 a.m. to noon
    Featured produce:  squash
  • Berea Farmers Market, 416 Chestnut Street in Berea:  Saturday, August 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Featured produce:  cucumbers
