Continued return to in-person instruction

Madison County Schools will continue the return to in-person instruction after fall break (Oct. 12-16).

 

Beginning Monday, Oct. 19, all option 1 students in elementary and middle school will return to full-time in-person learning -- Yellow Contingency Plan. Option 2 and 3 students will continue learning virtually. Students will be required to wear masks while they are in the building and while riding the bus. Social distancing will be followed to the best of our ability.

 

High schools will begin a phase in process to bring option 1 students into the building after fall break. 

 

For high school students:

  • Oct. 19 through 22 (Monday through Thursday)
    • All option 1 freshmen (9th grade) will report to school for in-person learning.
    • All 10th through 12th graders will continue virtual learning.
  • Oct. 23 (Friday)
    • Virtual learning for all high school students
  • Oct. 26 and 27 (Monday and Tuesday)
    • All option 1 sophomores (10th grade) will report to school for in-person learning.
    • All 9th, 11th and 12th graders will continue virtual learning.
  • Oct. 28 and 29 (Wednesday and Thursday)
    • All option 1 juniors (11th grade) and seniors (12th grade) will report to school for in-person learning.
    • All 9th and 10th graders will continue virtual learning.
  • Oct. 30 (Friday)
    • Virtual learning for all high school students
  • Nov. 2 (Monday)
    • Virtual learning for all high school students 
  • Nov. 3 (Tuesday)
    • No School
  • Nov. 4 (Wednesday)
    • All option 1 high school students begin Orange Contingency Plan (A/B Hybrid plan)

High school students will remain on the Orange Contingency Plan until Thanksgiving Break.

The district will continue to monitor the number of active cases in Madison County and within the district. Decisions regarding any changes to the attendance model will be announced as quickly as possible.
