What is Renaissance?

Caudill participates in the Renaissance Recognition Program.  Each nine weeks, team and individual achievements in the following categories are recognized:

Academic Achievement

Teams earn Recognition Banners; individuals earn Renaissance Status. Your team should strive for: the best attendance, the best grades and the fewest behavior issues! As a team, you can also earn the Spirit Banner at rallies and special sporting events.  You are part of a team!  Make sure you are bringing your “A” game each day!

Individuals earn Renaissance Status for the same reasons, at several different levels,

each nine weeks: The different levels are Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Here are the requirements for each level:

Platinum Level

  • 4.0 GPA
  • Fewer than 3 unexcused absences
  • Fewer than 6 tardies.
  • No ISS or suspensions.

Gold Level

  • 3.0 - 3.999 GPA
  • Fewer than 3 unexcused absences
  • Fewer than 6 tardies
  • No ISS or suspensions.

Silver Level

  • No F’s or I’s on the report card
  • Fewer than 3 unexcused absences
  • Fewer than 6 tardies.
  • No ISS or suspensions.

What do I get with my Renaissance Status?

Students are eligible for different rewards throughout the nine weeks and/or year.  Rewards may consist of pizza parties, ice cream parties, bowling trips, movie outings, dress down days and more!

Can I lose my Renaissance Status for a Nine Weeks?

Yes.  Although you have worked hard to earn your Renaissance Status for a nine week period, certain behavioral situations can cause you to lose your status and forfeit any upcoming rewards.  Once the nine weeks is over, you can earn it back the next nine weeks.

Kings Island/Kentucky Kingdom

Students who hold Platinum Status for all 4 nine weeks (i.e. the entire school year) will be eligible to attend the Educational Days Kings Island outing or Kentucky Kingdom outing in May (date TBD).  Several Madison County Schools attend this trip as well as schools in the area.  Note:  There is a cost associated with this trip.

Permission Slips

In order to attend a rewards and/or field trip, students must have a field trip permission form signed by a guardian turned in by the due date assigned by the teacher.  Trips that have costs associated with them also must have the money turned in by the due date in order to attend.  Unfortunately, late permission slips will not be accepted, so make sure you know the deadline and get them in on time!  We want all of our students to be able to celebrate with a reward!
