Summer Learning and Fun Opportunities Available Throughout Madison County

Madison County - and many surrounding counties - host a variety of summer learning and summer fun opportunities for kids of all ages. Please visit the district's SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES page for details on many of these activities.

Certified Volunteers - Please Read

A letter was mailed last week from the Madison County Board of Education to all Certified Volunteers. This letter is on ivory/tan paper and is for you to complete for Re-Certification. If you complete this form and return it to your child’s school by May 19th or the Board of Education by Friday, June 30th then you will be placed on the county-wide list for Certified Volunteers for next school year (2017-2018). If you miss this deadline, you will have to take Volunteer Confidentiality Training all over again. If you have not receive your letter by May 15th and you were a Certified Volunteer please call the YSC at 387-3836 or the Board of Education at 624-4500.

2017-2018 school year calendar set by the Board

The Madison County Board of Education voted to approve the calendar for the 2017-2018 school year. The school year will begin for students on Wednesday, Aug. 16, and end on Friday, May 25. The calendar includes a three-day fall break the first week of October as well as a full week of spring break the first week of April. The calendar can be viewed HERE.
