This list includes some of the BEST Web 2.0 Classroom Tools

Lots of these online web tools are excellent ways to create a digital project. Some of them will require you to create an account and submit an email address.

Animoto Create amazing videos very easily.
Audacity

Free downloadable, open source, cross-platform software for recording and editing sound. 

Blabberize An online tool that allows the use to create a mouth on a picture and record auido so that the picture appears to be talking.  You can do it in as little as 30 seconds if you have your picture ready. 
Cube Creator Cube Creator provide templates designed to break the writing process into six distinct parts. There are templates for writing biographies, mysteries, short stories, and a blank template that you can customize. Students enter the required information into the online template. When the template is completed, it can be printed with lines for cutting and folding to create an actual cube.
DoInk Create your own drawing and animations. 
Glogster EDU Great way to share posters and images you've made with friends. 
KerPoof Kerpoof is a ffree online multimedia software that allows children to explore their creativity by drawing, making animated movies, writing and illustrating stories, producing pictures and cards and more. 
Little BirdTales Create an account for you and your students (very easy process). Allows students to draw aor import images.  Other features include text box for each page and the ability to record your own voice. Can be embedded into a webpage.
LiveBinders Organize your resources online.  It is like a three-ring binder on the web. 

Museum Box

Museum Box site provides the tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period by placing items in a virtual box.
Padlet Padlet is an online notice board maker, formerly Wallwisher. It gives you a virtual space where you can post short text notes in the same way that you could put post-it notes onto a notice board in your classroom. But this noticeboard can be shared between people all over the world. As well as text notes you can add images, video and links to other websites.
Piktochart Piktochart transforms your information into memorable presentations.
Prezi Prezi is a web-based presentation application and storytelling tool that uses a single canvas instead of traditional slides.  Very dynamic tool that will grab your students' attention.
Quizlet This site allows you to create your own digital flashcards. After you have a set of cards, Quizlet gives you three ways to learn your terms.

Socrative

Socrative is a smart student response system that empowers teachers to engage their classrooms through a series of educational exercises and games via smartphones, laptops, tablets, and personal computers.

Storybird Create an account for you and your students.  Storybird reverses the process of visual storytelling by starting with the image and "unlocking" the story inside. Choose an artist or a theme, get inspired, and start writing.
StoryJumper Easy way to for students to create their own stories and bring them to life. 
Tagxedo Like Wordle but a step farther as text can be used to build bigger images. 
Timetoast Fantastic timeline visualization tool to understand history. 
VoiceThread

VoiceThread conversations are media-centric, which keeps the discussions focused.

Voki Voki enables users to express themselves on the web in their own voice using a talking character.
Weebly Create your own website or blog, very easy to use. 
Wordle Wordle is a tool for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide.  If you are planning for your students to print a wordle, please ask them to select one they like with a white background.
