coolbusRecently the Madison County Schools Transportation Department presented at KSBA detailing the new roadside assistance programs implemented in the district. With the aid of technology, Madison County Schools has been able to reduce the cost of operation and more efficiently map the routes our buses take. Click here to view the powerpoint.

MCS reaches goal for funds raised for Haiti PDF Print E-mail

clay_cornettMadison County Schools set a lofty goal for raising funds for disaster relief in Haiti. That $10,000 mark was reached today – a full 10 days before the February 12 deadline. As of today, Madison County Schools and the Madison County community have helped raise $10,679.33 for the Haiti relief effort.

CMMS Academic Team hosting Governor’s Cup PDF Print E-mail

Clark-Moores Middle School has been honored to host the District Governor’s Cup for 2010. Other than our school, the district includes Foley Middle, Madison Middle, and Berea Community Middle. District Governor’s Cup includes future problem solving, written composition, quick recall, written assessment in the area of math, language arts, science, social studies, and arts and humanities.

guatemalaThe relationship between Madison County Schools and the Prince of Peace Home for Girls in San Cristobal, Guatemala, continues to flourish, thanks to modern technology. Local churches first met the girls through mission trips, and the relationship has continued to grow, with 14 of the girls visiting Madison County in November. Among the schools the girls toured was B. Michael Caudill Middle School.

Madison County Schools first in state to deliver live broadcast districtwide PDF Print E-mail

live_broadcastMadison County Schools Superintendent Tommy Floyd delivered a unique message on the morning of Jan. 28 to students. It was not so much the actual speech that was distinctive, but the manner in which it was delivered. Sitting behind his desk, in his office on Keeneland Drive in Richmond, Floyd spoke live to students in all 18 of the district’s schools.
