Madison Southern High Schools and Madison County Schools hosted the 3rd Annual National Archery in the School's Program Shoot for the Cure Archery Tournament on Feb. 15 and 16. Every school in Madison County Schools was represented with more than 520 archers participating. The tournament was a huge success, said archery coordinator Doug Carter, raising more than $5,000. The funds raised will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Hospice Care Plus equally. Over the past three years, Madison County Schools archers have raised close to $19,000 for these two organizations.
