Madison County Archers Were Great at State

The Kentucky State NASP Archery Tournament was March 18 and 19 in Louisville. There were more than 4,100 archers and 175 teams competing. This was the 2nd  largest Archery Tournament competition in the United States. Madison County Schools was well-represented in the competition with several schools participating.

Teams from Madison Central High, Madison Southern High, Madison Middle, Caudill Middle, Farristown Middle, Foley Middle, Clark-Moores Middle, Kirksville Elementary, Glenn Marshall Elementary and White Hall Elementary earned scores high enough to earn an invitation to shoot at the NASP National Competition in Louisville on May 10 and 11.

Individual results included:

White Hall Elementary's Skyler Jacob finished 1st in the 4th grade female division.

Glenn Marshall Elementary's Xavier Strothman finished 2nd in the 4th grade male division.

White Hall Elementary's Noah Metcalfe finished 2nd in the 5th grade male division.

Glenn Marshall Elementary's Joley Olds finished 2nd in 5th grade female division.

White Hall Elementary's Trent Fornash finished 3rd in the 5th grade male division.

Farristown Middle School's Shana Webb finished 5th in middle school female division.

Madison Central High School's Grant Willoughby finished 5th place in KHSAA.

Madison Southern High School's Cynthia Clark won the KHSAA Female Leadership award.


Team results included:

White Hall Elementary School's team placed 2nd, reaching the podium for the first time in school history.

Caudill Middle School's team finished 3rd.

Glenn Marshall Elementary School's team finished 4th.

Madison Central High School's team finished 4th in KHSAA

Madison Southern High School's team finished 5th in KHSAA.
