The National Championships for NASP Archery were held May 10 and 11 in Louisville. This was the largest archery tournament in the World, with more than 10,000 participants from 40 states. Madison County had 10 schools represented. They included three elementary: Glenn Marshall, Kirksville, and White Hall; five middle schools: Caudill, Clark-Moores, Farristown, Foley, and Madison; and both high schools: Madison Central and Madison Southern.
Three of our schools were Top 10 finishers: Caudill Middle was 7th out of 158 middle schools, White Hall Elementary was 8th out of 107 elementary schools, and Madison Central was 9th out of 156 high schools.
Individual awards went to:
Dawson Miller, White Hall – 4th with a 284
Noah Metcalfe, White Hall – 7th with a 282
Kaylee Naugle, White Hall – 9th with a 271
Ryan Long, Madison Central – 9th and selected as an All-American, allowing him to participate in a trip to South Africa later in the summer.
