MSHS students are Finalists at National TSA Conference
Madison Southern Technology Student Association (TSA) members, Josh McHargue, M.J. Parsons, and Alex Kersey recently represented the state of Kentucky at the TSA National Conference in Orlando, FL. They qualified to compete at the national level when they placed first in their respective competitive events at the TSA State Conference held in Louisville in April. The national conference hosted more than 4500 competitors from across the United States, Germany and Turkey.
The Webmaster team of Parsons, Kersey and Lydia Sharp (not pictured) were required to design, build and launch a World Wide Web site that featured the school’s career and technology education program, the TSA chapter, and prepared a design brief that summarized the evolution of news media in the digital age, with specific references to news websites, blogs, social media, and smartphone apps. The team placed 6th in the nation.
Josh McHargue finished 10th in the nation in the Computer Aided Drafting 3D and Animation competitive event. Competitors had to create a 3D computer model(s) of an engineering or machine object. Then students had to animate the object so it simulated a working model.
