Glenn Marshall Elementary School took home the top prize for participation at the 8th Annual Coordinated School Health Pumpkin Run/Walk for Health. The Mustangs registered 185 participants at this year's event, giving them top prize for a second straight year. Last year, they shared the 1st place spot with Shannon Johnson Elementary. Waco Elementary came in second place with 132 parcticipants and Shannon Johnson Elementary came in third with 109 at the event. This year's Pumpkin Run/Walk for Health had 549 registered participants representing 15 schools.

Shannon Johnson Elementary School took home the Caudill Cup for the fourth consecutive year. The Caudill Cup is presented to the winner of the Madison County Triple Crown. The Triple Crown, which is sponsored by Baptist Health Richmond, consists of three races - Tracks for Packs 5K, Spoonbread Festival 5K, and the Pumpkin Run 5K. This year, Shannon Johnson Elementary had 325 participants in those three events. Second place in the Triple Crown went to Glenn Marshall Elementary with 206 participants and third place went to Waco Elementary with 138 participants. This year's Triple Crown had 1,040 registered paricipants over the course of the three events.
