Back to school time also means it is time for parents, grandparents, and other community members to attend volunteer confidentiality training. Any person who is interested in volunteering in a school, chaperoning a class field trip, or helping in any other way will need to complete the mandatory volunteer confidentiality training. If the training is not completed, that person will be unable to volunteer in any way.
If you have completed volunteer training in the past and returned the Intent to Volunteer form at the end of last school year, you will not need to complete the training agin. If you completed volunteer confidentiality training in the past and DID NOT return the Intent to Volunteer form, you WILL need to complete the training again.
Volunteer confidentiality training takes less than an hour to complete and includes a background check. Volunteers are approved after training is complete and the background check is returned.
Click HERE to view a printable volunteer confidentiality training schedule. You may attend training at any school, not necessarily at the school your child attends. Please choose the training that best suits your schedule. There is no need to register or sign up for a training before attending.
If you have questions about volunteer confidentiality training, please contact the school office, family resource director, or youth service center director where your child attends.
