Graduation dates and times set by Board

Graduation ceremonies have been scheduled for both high schools at EKU's Alumni Coliseum.
Madison Central High -- Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m.
Madison Southern High -- Saturday, May 25, at 11 a.m.

LPC reschedules meeting

The Local Planning Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2019, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 6 p.m. at the Madison County Board of Education. This forum will be for the purpose of soliciting public comments concerning the District Facilities Plan. Directly after this public forum, the Local Planning Committee will meet to review feedback that the Kentucky Department of Education provided on the District Facilities Plan, consider changes to the plan and vote to send the plan to the local school board.

CMMS students mentor DBE students in financial literacy CMMS FCCLA at DBE

The financial literacy partnership between Daniel Boone Elementary 2nd grade students and Clark-Moores Middle School students was a mentoring opportunity thanks to a Mike's Kids Education Foundation Grant! The event was specifically planned to occur during Kentucky Saves Week (also America Saves Week and FCCLA Saves Week).

When you enter the front door of most schools, there is quite a bit to be seen. The front office staff, usually some posters or informational flyers, maybe a few students. But, usually, off to the side there is another office that you may not even notice. Inside of that office sits, what could be considered, one of the unsung heroes of our schools.

Kindergarten registration begins kindergarten

Kindergarten registration is ongoing for Madison County Schools.

 

Registration dates are:
Monday, March 18
Tuesday, April 23
Thursday, May 16

 

Registration will be going on at all kindergarten locations across the district on these dates from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Locations are Madison Kindergarten Academy (for students in Daniel Boone, Glenn Marshall, Kit Carson, and White Hall districts), Shannon Johnson Elementary (for students in Shannon Johnson and Silver Creek districts), Boonesborough Elementary, Kirksville Elementary, Kingston Elementary, and Waco Elementary.

Applications for early admission to kindergarten being accepted

Madison County Schools will be accepting applications for early entry into kindergarten beginning February 1.

 

Criteria for Early Admission for MCS Kindergarten:

  • Child must be a resident of Madison County, Kentucky (Madison County Schools);
  • Child must turn 5 between August 2 and October 1; and
  • Child must score above the 95th percentile on the DIAL-4 Assessment.
