Kindergarten Registration at Kingston Kindergarten Registration

Kingston Elementary will register Kindergarten students for the 2017-2018 school year from 9AM - 12PM each Wednesday of July. (July 5, July 12, July 19, July 26) 
 

Summer Learning and Fun Opportunities Available Throughout Madison County

Madison County - and many surrounding counties - host a variety of summer learning and summer fun opportunities for kids of all ages. Please visit the district's SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES page for details on many of these activities.

Kindergarten Registration Information

Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, students must turn five (5) on or before August 1 for admission to kindergarten. Previously, students were required to turn 5 on or before October 1 for admission. The change is reflected in KRS 158.030. Madison County Schools will be hosting kindergarten registration at all four kindergarten academies - Madison Kindergarten Academy, Shannon Johnson Elementary, Kingston Elementary, and Waco Elementary. Kingston Students Give to CASA CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)

Special thanks to the students and PTO at Kingston Elementary for donating $562.47 to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) which serves as a voice for children in foster care. The Kingston Classroom winner for raising the most money is Mrs. Haynes' room with an $85.26 donation.  Way to go, Trojans!

2017-2018 school year calendar set by the Board

The Madison County Board of Education voted to approve the calendar for the 2017-2018 school year. The school year will begin for students on Wednesday, Aug. 16, and end on Friday, May 25. The calendar includes a three-day fall break the first week of October as well as a full week of spring break the first week of April. The calendar can be viewed HERE.

MSHS bass fishing teams place 1st and 2nd in state tournament MSHS bass fishing tournament winners

Madison Southern High School recently competed in the TBF State Championship at Lake Cumberland. During this competition, which hosted more than 192 boats of high school fishers, MSHS had boats that placed 1st and 2nd. This was the largest high school fishing tournament that TBF had ever put on. These boaters were Brandon Turner and Seth Hembree with 15 pounds, 2 ounces for first place and Blake Harold and Cameron Cochran with 14 pounds, 10 ounces for second place.

Kingston Fuel Up to Play 60 Kick-Off Fuel Up to Play 60 Logo

Many Kingston students and their families attended the Fuel Up to Play 60 Kick-Off on Monday, September 12, 2016. Students received healthy snacks and were invited to bring their bikes to have some after school fun.
