A representative from KY State University will be in the MCHS cafeteria on Friday, January 9 during lunch to meet with interested students.

MCHS Fishing Team - 2015 Season

There will be a brief meeting at 3:15 PM on Thursday, January 8th in the cafeteria for those interested in joining the MCHS fishing team for the 2015 season.

Walk in Jimmy's Shoes has another successful year

Thank you to Jack Burford Chevrolet and Soft Shoe for teaming up with our community to provide shoes for our middle and high school students who are in need this winter. More than 130 pairs of shoes were donated along with money to purchase shoes. Walk in Jimmy's Shoes is a great program that certainly helps a lot of kids each year!

Support MCHS Project Grad

MCHS Project Grad is pairing up with Schwan’s Online Grocery Home delivery service for a fundraising campaign.  Just visit schwans-cares.com and enter our campaign ID: 17230. SENIOR Parents: Help with FAFSA

Keith Ritchie, the representative from the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, will be here on Tuesday , January 20 to help seniors and their parents complete the FAFSA.  FAFSA is the official document needed to apply for grants, loans, etc.  We will meet in Computer Lab A.  It  starts at 5 and is over at 7. You may want to bring your tax information from 2013 or 2014 if you have it .  You may enter the building through the rear gym doors. Computer Lab A is on the second floor, across the hall from the library.  See you then!

Bechtel Parsons Blue Grass grant recipients announced

Each year, Bechtel Parsons Blue Grass awards 10 $1,000 grants to Madison County Schools teachers who have innovative ideas in the areas of science, math, and/or technology. This year's grant recipients have been announced and their ideas range from understanding spatial reasoning and engineering rules to building bridges that will withstand earthquakes and even creating virtual lab experiences. Congratulations to these teachers!

Math Intervention Teachers Honored with Trailblazer Award

Thirteen Kentucky teachers received the Northern Kentucky University Trailblazer Award for Mathematics Education during a presentation by President Mearns Dec. 4 at the Embassy Suites Lexington. Among them were 5 math interventionists from Madison County Schools.

AP Exam Registration Information

Taking an Advanced Placement exam is an important part of any AP course. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

For the 2015 AP exams, students at Madison Central High School will be registering online.
