Renaissance Program

Attention Parents and Community Partners

Madison Central High School is embarking on a new venture to increase student achievement in our school.  We are beginning a Renaissance program.

How it all began

Founded by Jostens and educators in 1988, Renaissance inspires the acceptance and excitement for academics that's traditionally reserved for athletics. Through Renaissance, our school ‘s aim is  to increase student performance ,  teacher enthusiasm, and to raise the level of community participation in schools.

Getting involved

All students and teachers are encouraged to participate in Renaissance to help improve academic performance. Students benefit from the program because it raises the profile of academics and makes it cool to do well in school. Teachers often cite Renaissance as the source of renewed enthusiasm about their profession.

Renaissance also encourages the involvement of parents and local businesses. In fact, many of the awards given to students to recognize their academic achievements come from local businesses, including discounts on goods and services.

Here is how you can help!

Please consider making a donation to our program today!  We invite donations of all sizes. We would like for you to consider the long term impact of rewarding our young people today and inspiring them to become even better, more productive citizens of our community in the future.

We can't thank you enough for your support of the young people in our school.  We invite you to call if you should have questions about the program.  We also invite you to visit our school to watch our student athletes perform in games, come to a band concert or a play performed by our students.

You won't be disappointed. 

School Wide Fundraiser to Begin Monday February 1 and will run through February 14.  Each Student will be given information in first period on Monday February 1.  We are asking each student to sell 5-10 items to support our Renaissance Program.  Renaissance rewards kids in many ways.  Students can win prizes for selling.  Names go in a drawing for every five items they sell for $100.00 gift cards.  (for example-sell five items and your name goes in five times.)  Other prizes available.  Please support our cause!

MCHS Cinch sacks for sale in Mrs. Hill's Room or in the finance office for $8.00.  Proceeds support Renaissance.
