Wiki is a simple site that allows users to create and edit content in any web browser.  
Wiki supports hyperlinks and text. Wiki can be an individuals work or a collaboration between students.

 

Wikis can demonstrate the process of Learning as well as tracking that learning process.

Wikis change the students role from consumer of knowledge to creator, this is a great way to devlop those critical thinking skills and improve their ability to work and learn from one another.

Ways to use Wikis:

  • MIni research projects
  • Student summaries of their learning
  • Student Critiques about readings
  • Compiling a manual 
  • Creating a Guide to a time period or event in history
  • Creating e-portfolios
  • Creating a homework helper for students outside of school
