Digital Storytelling

Digital Storytelling is transforming a story or report into a digital expression through media content.  Students can blend text, music, images, sounds and narration to produce products for the classroom and beyond.  I love digital storytelling because I feel like it is the easiest way for students to truly express their thoughts and views.  Thinking about our next generation learners, they NEED to produce and express their learning….digital storytelling can easily be used across the curriculum for student products that SHOW their mastery of the curriculum content.

People are known by the stories they tell. This is how we communicate. Digital Stories add images, voice-thread, and music to enhance their story. These items create a mood. When the story is finished the audience does not remember the bells and whistles they remember the emotional message, this is the difference between a story and storytelling.
