Ash's Worst Fear

By: Cyan D.

Original Digital Art

Process:

The making of “Ash’s Worst Fear” (Product made by the program: Sketchpad 4.0)

Drawing the Design

Of course, I didn’t just start drawing the product freehand on my art tablet I had to draw down the basic concepts, color schemes and what the overall drawing would look like.

Basic Sketch on the Tablet

The first thing that I did to draw the outline was click on the basic pencil tool. Then I clicked the color pallet and made the color black. Then I, simply turned the opacity down to about 4 notches. I made the basic sketch of the Drawing and used a shaping tool to make the eyes on both of the people and the text box and typed the text: “Serena caught a wild Ash!”

Coloring

This may seem a little odd, but I turned down the opacity and colored the whole picture with the pencil tool. The reason why I turned down the opacity is so the viewers of the product can see the base outline of the drawing.

 About “Sketchpad 4.0”

Sketchpad 4.0 is an intermediately advanced program for sketches, products, comics, blueprint designs, ECT. This program is a lot more complex than programs such as paint, pickmonkey.com, or sketch. However, this program is much easier to use with an art tablet like a Wacom Intuous pen tablet (what I used) this program also has advanced tools like: shading, spider webbing tool, clipart stamps, fur and graffiti ECT. (It also has an opacity bar that can come in handy!) And these were the tools and steps on how I made my product on Sketchpad 4.0
