Volunteer Confidentiality Training schedule available

Back to school time also means it is time for parents, grandparents, and other community members to attend volunteer confidentiality training. Any person who is interested in volunteering in a school, chaperoning a class field trip, or helping in any other way will need to complete the mandatory volunteer confidentiality training. If the training is not completed, that person will be unable to volunteer in any way.

World Archery Championships come to Richmond

Caudill Middle School and Madison Central High School have won the World Archery Championships in the middle and high school divisions. The win is a third consecutive title for Caudill Middle School and a first for MCHS. Congratulations to both teams!

Open House and Pick-up Of Students' Schdules

Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 5 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  At this time students may pick up class schedules and tour the building.  A light meal will be served and information about the 2014-15 school will be displayed in the front lobby.  Schedules not picked up will be available in the school office until the first day of school after the August 5th Open House.

Jump Start for Incoming 6th Graders Only

Jump Start will be held on Tuesday, August 5th from 12:30-4:30 p.m.  If you have not turned in your registration form please do so prior to August 5th.  Registration forms were included in the folders send home with 5th graders in May.  However, registration forms may be picked up at the school office.

Girls' Soccer Practice

Girls Soccer practices will begin on July 28 from 5:00-6:30 p.m.  All participants must present an updated Sports Physical prior to the practices.

New Chief Operations Officer named

Madison County Schools named Randy Neeley as chief operations officer. Neeley will begin his role on July 1, 2014. Neeley has served Madison County Schools as director of pupil personnel since 2010. Prior to serving as DPP, he served Madison County Schools as principal of White Hall Elementary, assistant principal of Madison Middle, and health teacher at Madison Middle. Neeley’s career in education began in 1994 and he has served his entire career in Madison County Schools.

Dr. Hub Accepts Superintendent Post for Logan County Schools

The Logan County Board of Education announced the selection of Dr. Kevin F. Hub as their next superintendent of schools. Dr. Hub is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Environmental Geography, Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond with a Masters of Arts in Education degree in Geography Education, and Spalding University in Louisville with a Doctorate in Education in Leadership Education. He is currently serving as Assistant Superintendent and Chief Operating Officer for Madison County Schools and is in his 20th year in education.
