PROGRAMS offered by the South Madison Family Resource Center (not limited to below)
MUSIC TIME— This program is designed to expose new and expectant parents, as well as their 0—5 year olds, to early education and to generate learning through song, dance, and play.
OPEN CONCERN FIELD TRIP— The FRC takes 25 students on a shopping trip to Open Concern. The trip is taken in both the fall and spring. Each student shops for clothing at no cost to the family.
BOOK BUDDIES— This program is designed to expose new and expectant parents, as well as their 0—5 year olds, to early literacy, encouraging parents to begin reading to their children at an early age.
PARENTING CLASSES— Parents of students at Shannon Johnson and Silver Creek can take part in a variety of classes on topics identified by the Family Needs Assessment. Snack Pack
Food Bag Program — The South Madison FRC works with God’s Outreach to provide a monthly food bag to go home with students who need food for the weekend.
