Cooks with Books came about because Director Scott Anderson wanted to find a way to connect learning and the lunchroom.  He wanted to get kids reading and thinking about learning when they are in the lunchroom.  The lunchroom can be a learning environment.  The staff in the lunchroom take care of our kids everyday, this is a fun way to connect to the students about food, nutriention, and hopefully inspire the love of reading.
