    Seniors, Josten's will be here to distribute graduation announcements and caps & gowns on Monday, April 22 from 10 am to 1 pm in the Health Building Lobby. If you haven't ordered your cap & gown yet, you need to do so immediately at Jostens.com or by calling 1-800-Jostens. The price is now $40.

  • Important Info for Seniors

    Wednesday, April 17th – Senior Awards Music Tryouts in Mrs. Gray’s room (2010) at 3:00.
    Wednesday, April 17th – Last day to sign up for Senior Walks outside Mrs. Briscoe’s room (1008).
    Friday, April 26th – Scholarship forms are due to Mrs. Briscoe.  You must turn in a form to be recognized at Senior Awards. We do not announce your scholarship amount. We use it in the total amount for the senior class.
    Friday, April 26th – Senior Walk permission slips are due to the front office.
    Thursday, May 9th – Bus Permission Slips for Graduation are due to the front office.
    Tuesday, May 14thFriday, May 17th – Mrs. Sharp will collect locks in her office.
    Wednesday, May 15th Senior Walks at Daniel Boone, Glenn Marshall, Kit Carson, Waco, and Kirksville. You’ll wear your cap and gown and walk the halls of your old elementary school. During 1st and 2nd period.
    Wednesday, May 15th – Senior Awards Night at 6:00 p.m. in the MCHS Auditorium.  Senior Superlatives, Mr. & Miss Central, Principal’s Leadership award, department awards, & scholarships will be announced.
    Friday, May 17th – Senior Walk at White Hall and Boonesborough. You’ll wear your cap and gown and walk the halls of your old elementary school. During 1st and 2nd period.
    Monday, May 20th – Senior Finals 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th
    Tuesday, May 21st – NO SCHOOL
    Wednesday, May 22nd – Senior Finals 2nd, 4th, and 6th
    Thursday, May 23rdMANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE AT MCHS. Meet in the HB Gym @ 8:05, find your row & have a seat. If you do not attend, you will not walk at graduation.
    Friday, May 24thMANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE. Meet at MCHS in the HB Gym @ 8:05. You must ride your assigned bus to & from EKU. You may not drive yourself. If you do not attend, you will not walk at graduation.
    Friday, May 24th – Graduation at EKU – Starts at 7:00 p.m. Seniors report at 6:00 p.m. to the Auxiliary Gym.  Honor stoles, cords & gold tassels will be distributed upon checking in with your assigned teacher.  The traffic on the bypass will be very congested.  Please allow for plenty of travel time.
    ALL FEES & FINES MUST BE PAID IN ORDER TO WALK AT GRADUATION.  THIS INCLUDES LOST TEXTBOOK FEES, LOCKS ($10) & ELEVATOR KEYS ($25).
    *For locks see Mrs. Sharp in guidance, for elevator keys see Mrs. Olmsted, & for textbooks check with the teacher first then the finance office.
    There is a dress code for graduation. Students who need assistance in obtaining clothing for graduation need to see a faculty member as soon as possible.  
    If you do not follow the rules you will be asked to change before the ceremony or you will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.
    You CANNOT decorate your cap.
    GIRLS
    WEAR DARK/NEUTRAL SHOES (black, navy, brown or tan) to match the gown. You may not wear flip-flops, tennis shoes, or light-colored shoes that do not match the graduation gown!  
    You can wear dressy shoes with a small heel. High heels may make it difficult to walk on the cover used on the gym floor.
    Wear a dress that looks nice under the gown. Solids usually look better because the gowns are made of very thin material.
    You do not need to wear the white collar that comes with the gown.  It is very difficult to put oncorrectly. 
    BOYS 
    Wear navy, black or khaki trousers (NO JEANS).
    YOU SHOULD WEAR DARK SHOES- NO TENNIS SHOES.
    A light-colored or white collared shirt & a tie looks best.
    Polo shirts are okay.
    NO  T-shirts/shorts.

  • The Site Based Decision Making Council, SBDM, is an important part of shaping the policies at Madison Central. Two of the council positions are parent members. We will be accepting nominations for the 2019-2020 school year parent members from April 8-April 19. A parent council member can be a parent, stepparent, foster parent, or a legal guardian of a student that will attend Madison Central during the 2019-2020 school year. You may nominate yourself or someone else. The form to nominate someone can be found in our front office or on our website under Discover MCHS>General Information>Forms. The nominees will be posted April 22 & 23. The election will be held on April 25, 7am-6pm in the front office. Please help represent your parent voice by nominating the person of your choice.
