End-of-Course exams are a component of ACT’s College and Career Readiness system. Quality Core is a research based system designed to help schools better ensure all students are prepared to college and career training. The system is ideally suited to scaffold a full year of curriculum and culminated in an End-of-Course exam.
End-of-Course exams are course specific exams that cover the broad base of content covered in a rigorous high school course.
The exam includes multiple-choice and constructed response formats.
Course that are assessed with End-of-Course Exams:
- English 2
- Algebra 2
- U.S. History
The exams are given after the course work is completed. Therefore, there is no set window for this test. But, for most Madison County students the time frame for the End-of-Course assessment falls in late April because most of our courses are for a full year.
