The Daniel Boone Family Resource Center is available for ALL families!
The FRC's goal is to help foster a partnership between families and the school to empower students for higher achievements.
The FRYSC's mission is to enhance student's abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining
partnerships that promote:
- Early learning and successful transition into school;
- Academic achievement and well-being;
- Graduation and transition into adult life.
The FRC is here to help remove any obstacle that may prevent a child from learning to the best of his/her ability.
The FRC offers multiple services of interest and value to the families of our students. The center provides information for new families in training, for parent education, child education, and support/training for child care providers. It can assist you in finding childcare, job training, and housing information. The FRC can also make referrals to community, social, and health agencies. We also do a variety of programs such as, Literacy Nights, Volunteer Trainings, the Backpack Snack Program, the Manners/Etiquette Program, and an array of after school activities, etc. In 2017, we will be started our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program.
The FRC has a small Clothing Closet available on an emergency basis. The FRC can make referrals for health services and for emergency assistance. If you have any questions, please contact our director, Traci McIntosh.
