District seeking interest in supplemental school year

Supplemental school year

On Wednesday, March 24, Gov. Beshear signed Senate Bill 128 into law giving Kentucky's school districts the opportunity to offer a supplemental school year. The supplemental school year would allow students currently enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade to repeat, retake, or supplement courses or grade levels already completed. Families have until May 1, 2021 to submit applications to the Madison County Board of Education.

Pending Board approval on Tuesday, May 11, families who have applied for the supplemental year will have until Thursday, May 26, to withdraw their application.

If you are interested in having your child repeat their current grade level in the 2021-2022 school year, please use the link below to fill out the application. Families are encouraged to reach out to their principal or guidance counselor if they have questions regarding the supplemental school year.
